Coordinating carpools without the group-chat scramble

It’s Tuesday, 4:47pm. Soccer starts at 5:30. Nobody in the group chat has said who’s driving. Hobson (gethobson.app) asks the question 48 hours earlier and remembers the answer.

Recurring kids’ activities are the same logistics problem every week, and a group chat is a bad tool for it: messages scroll away, the same parent ends up driving, and someone always finds out at the last minute that no seat was saved. Hobson turns it into a two-tap routine.

How it works

  1. It detects the recurring activity. When an activity like “soccer practice, Tuesdays” is shared across your Circle, Hobson recognizes the pattern.
  2. It asks 48 hours ahead.Every parent in the Circle gets a prompt: tap “I’ll Drive” with your seat count, “Need Ride,” or “Not Going.”
  3. It keeps it fair.Carpool Karma tracks who drives most, so the load is visible and the same person doesn’t quietly carry it every week.

What about privacy?

A Circle can be just the parents who share the carpool — you don’t have to share your full calendar to coordinate one activity. You choose what goes in.
